Course Object
This training will cover the Threat of Hate Groups in the United States and their implications for Law Enforcement.
Course Content
Hatred is at the root of domestic terrorism, and therefore, it is crucial that law enforcement be made aware of the dynamics of the threat of hate groups on U.S. soil and craft solutions to combat it. This workshop will focus on identifying current hate ideologies and hate groups; the legacy of hate groups; the risk that hate groups pose to society; the methodologies hate groups use to radicalize and recruit prospective members; case studies of hate crimes; and various law enforcement responses to hate groups.
