.SPEAKER: Trish Giaccone, Family Life Center, Florida – CEO, MS, NCC; Kim White, Sexual Assault Advocate/Case Manager at SACIS, Survivor of Human Trafficking; and Reilly Tebrugge, Prevention & Outreach Specialist, Sojourn Shelter and Services.

Learn about the correlation between domestic violence, trauma, and mental health.  Identify strategies to minimize trauma for victims and how it shapes their behavior.  Recognize ways to address both safety and recovery needs for domestic violence survivors engaging in local resources available.

Meets the following mandatory training criteria: Crisis Intervention .50 hours, Human rights 1.50 hours, Psychology of Domestic Violence 2 hours, Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect .50 hours, and Lead Homicide Investigator 8 hours of continuing education 8 hours.
