Course Objective

Join us for a comprehensive five-day training program designed to equip participants with the essential skills required to execute close protection procedures, whether operating as a single protection officer or as part of a full team. Throughout the course, participants will delve into core topics such as attack on principal drills, formation and tasks coordination, arrival and departure protocols, meticulous planning and surveys, and specialized motorcade driving techniques. The training culminates with a dynamic Full Scale Training Exercise (FTX) conducted in a public setting, providing invaluable real-world experience. Led by a seasoned instructor, the techniques and procedures presented in this training program are derived from end-user courses tailored for operational teams, ensuring relevance and practical application in the field. Certified Instructor Ron Yanor is a distinguished Certified Instructor with an extensive background in law enforcement and military tactics. With a career spanning over four decades, Yanor has honed his expertise across a broad spectrum of specialized areas, earning recognition for his contributions to training and operational excellence.

Certifications: Yanor holds certifications in an array of critical disciplines, including Basic CQB/SWAT, Advanced CQB/SWAT, Dignitary & Witness Protection, Sniper/Observer, and Patrol Rifle Instructor Development, among others. His comprehensive skill set encompasses areas such as Less Lethal Munitions, Building Search Tactics, and Combat Shotgun operations.

ILETSB Certified Courses: He has played a pivotal role in developing and instructing courses accredited by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board (ILETSB). Notable among these are Basic and Advanced CQB/SWAT, Sniper/Observer, and Patrol Rifle Instructor Development, demonstrating his commitment to fostering excellence in law enforcement training.

Published Author: Yanor’s expertise extends beyond the training grounds, as evidenced by his contributions as a published author. Operational Experience: Throughout his career, Yanor has been an integral member of multi-jurisdictional special operations teams, serving in various capacities for 19 years. As a team training and intel officer for nine years, he contributed to operational readiness and mission success. Ron’s dedication was His operational reach extends across several states within the U.S. and even to South America, where he provided training and support for specialized missions.

During his tenure at the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Department, Ron was honored with both the Medal of Valor for his courageous actions in a perilous situation, where he saved lives, and the Medal of Merit for his exceptional dedication in creating curriculum for his fellow officers that surpassed expectations.

Training and Instruction: Yanor’s dedication to excellence in instruction is evident in his tenure as a full-time instructor for law enforcement and military clients at the Adamax Tactical Academy. Over ten years of full-time instruction, supplemented by an additional decade of part-time service, underscore his commitment to sharing knowledge and enhancing operational capabilities.

Collaborations and Partnerships: Yanor has collaborated with leading figures and organizations within the tactical community, including Tactical Energetic Entry Systems, Direct Action Group, Larry Vickers, and Pat McNamara. Meets the following mandatory training criteria: Procedural Justice – 5 Hours, Use of Force .50 hours, Officer Safety Techniques, including cover, concealment and time 26 hours with 17 hours scenario based.
