Note – school personnel should enroll in the SSAVEIM course (March 20, 2025)and will
not be permitted to enroll in the ASIM course.

This is an introductory 8-hour performance level direct delivery course designed to improve incident management and integration of law enforcement, fire and EMS responders for active shooter events. The course provides a validated model framework for use by law enforcement, re and EMS to manage active shooter event response to improve time to threat neutralization, medical intervention, and survivability of casualties.

Mobile In-Service Training Team#7 Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board

MTU 7 request for certification of this course has been approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board

Meets the following mandatory training criteria: Emergency Medical Response Training and Certification, 3 hours Procedural Justice, 2 hours De-Escalation and 2 hours Officer Safety Techniques.

Specialized Training – Active Threat Response 4 hours.
