Note – school personnel should enroll in the SSAVEIM course (March 20, 2025)and will
not be permitted to enroll in the ASIM course.
This is an introductory 8-hour performance level direct delivery course designed to improve incident management and integration of law enforcement, fire and EMS responders for active shooter events. The course provides a validated model framework for use by law enforcement, re and EMS to manage active shooter event response to improve time to threat neutralization, medical intervention, and survivability of casualties.
Mobile In-Service Training Team#7 Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board
MTU 7 request for certification of this course has been approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board
Meets the following mandatory training criteria: Emergency Medical Response Training and Certification, 3 hours Procedural Justice, 2 hours De-Escalation and 2 hours Officer Safety Techniques.
Specialized Training – Active Threat Response 4 hours.
